Website Time Frame
How long does it take to build a website?
For the type of websites I specialize in, it takes from three weeks to four months. Often the time frame is dependent on the client, who may need time to develop branding, make decisions about the design, or write copy.
I strive to provide prompt turn-around on my end, along with timely updates and communication. My contract obligates me to turn over certain milestones within a specified time frame (usually 10 business days). However, these deadlines are contingent on your providing the necessary information, materials and / or payments.
Generally speaking, as the client, you have quite a bit of control over the pace of the work. If you are able to do a fast turnaround on decisions, materials, payments, etc., then your web site will be completed within weeks, rather than months.
